Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1320m)

Day 02: Kathmandu – Pokhara (820m)

Day 11: Kathmandu – Departure

Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu (1330m): Meet our representative at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. All the required documents, photos, passport copies etc. are collected for the preparation of all legal documents required during the trek. On the same day you'll be meeting your guide for the trek.

Day 02 Kathmandu – Pokhara(820m): After the breakfast we will be heading to Pokhara by private transport which takes around 6-7 hours. On the way we would be seeing the beautiful view of the Trishuli River which is flowing side by side throughout the most of our way to Pokhara. We even get to witness the people doing rafting in Trishuli river.

Day 03 Pokhara - Naya Pull – Tikhedhunga (1500m): We will start trekking from Naya Pull after 1 hour drive with a private vehicle from Pokhara. After 15 minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1.015 meters) a large village that has many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1.495m and after the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1.570 meters. It takes around 4 hours walk to reach Tikhedhunga from Pokhara.

Day 04 Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani(2860m):After the breakfast we start our trek to our next destination i.e. Ghorepani and most of the way up hill and forested area. It takes around 5-6 hours walk to reach Ghoerpani from Thikedhunga. We can see the forest covered with red coloured Rhodendron flower all over the forests if our trekking time is between February to April. We can see the fascinating view of the sunset from Ghorepani over the mountains.

Day 05 Ghorepani – Poon Hill(3170m) – Tadapani(2600m): Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at elevation of 3.210 meters ,from where we get to see the sun rise over the mountains(Mt. Dhaulagiri I, II and III , Tukuche Peak , Nilgiri I, II and III , Annapurna South , Annapurna I , Himchuli and Machhapuchre). Back to hotel ,we will be have breakfast and stat our trek to our next destination i.e Tadapani. After 1 hour trek up hill  we reach the top of the hill opposite to Poon Hill from where we walk  further 3 hours through the forests and finally reach Tadapani. Altogether we walk about 6-7 hours today including short walk to Poon Hill. From Tadapani we can see the excellent view of the Mt. Fishtail , Himchuli and Annapurna South.

Day06 Tadapani – Chomrong(2170m): After   the breakfast  we  start our trek down to Kimrong river and start climbing up hill till we reach Chomrong. It takes around 4 hours altogether  to reach Chomrong. From Chomrong we can see the very beautiful view of the Annapurna South and Macchapuchre .

Day 07 Chomrong – Jhinu Danda(1700m): Today we take enough time to wake up and have breakfast as we trek down to Jhinu Danda today which is not so far. It takes around 1 hour to reach Jhinu Danda. So, we relax and visit hot spring nearby Jhinu Danda.

Day 08 Jhinu Danda – Potana(1900m):As usual we start our trek after breakfast to our next destination and today’s  destination will be Potana. It takes around 6-7 hours going up and down hill all the way through rivers , bridges , streams , springs ,local villages etc. Passing the places like Landruk , Tolka which are themselevs one of the famous tourism destination we reach Potana. Similar view of the mountains can be witnessed from here too.

Day 09 Potana  - Dhampus – Pokhara(820m): Today is the last day of our trekking and we start our trek down to Dhampus on the way to Phedi. After walking around 2 hours down hill, we reach the bus station from where we go to pokhara by private transport.It takes around 35 minutes drive from Phedi to reach Pokhara. 

Day 10 Pokhara - Kathmandu(1320m): Today we will be back to Kathmandu and as trip comes to an end. We can prefer to go by  private transport  (6-7 hours drive) or can fly by domestic air (35minutes flight) too.

Day 11 Kathmandu – Departure: After breakfast , a Himalayan Rock Treks and Expdition responsible person will drop you to the international airport

Trekking Equipment Checklist

The weather can be cold, unpredictable and challenging while in the mountains. Hence the travelers need to be prepared to cope up with the weather. While you can take the different kind of equipment to make things comfortable for you, there are some basic things that you must carry with you for completion of the trek in comfortable manner.

Note: Sleeping bags come handy in case of difficult circumstances. We recommend every trekkers to take one with them while on the mountains. You can bring your own or it can be hired here.
